How to pronounce Sahib?

Actually "sahib" at least in India, is pronounced 'sa-ib' with the "i" sound so short it is almost like the i in the diphong 'ai" in "rain" in English.

And most Indians leave out the 'i' sound altogether now so it's pronounced 'saab' like the car.
