It is Gill-e-n. In the English language, a "G" is pronounced as a hard "G". Just like a fish gill. Trust me, I know, it's my name. LOL!

Pronunciation of Gillian
I'm with a soft G, so pronounced as a J. Jill-ee-an
But either way is correct, it's just preference.
Pronunciation of Gillian
Just for everyone's info, "gill" is pronounced with a hard G when it's part of a fish, and with a soft G when it's slightly archaic term for four ounces, in the same sense that "cup" is a term for eight ounces. (See, e.g., the English folk song "Byker Hill," which starts "If I had another penny, I would buy another gill.") So the pronunciation of "gill" isn't especially helpful. FWIW, Ms. Anderson pronounces it the soft-G way, and I have a friend named Gillian who does it the hard-G way, so I think it's mostly a matter of personal choice.
