Fatema (Or Fatima) is a first name. Now since I am from Arabic speaking origin (she is too), I guess I should add my two cents on this one.. Fatema is a woman who stopped nourishing her baby (breast fed him for sometime then stopped, say a year or so). This name has a root verb in the arabic language which is 'Fatamah', which to my knowledge means to stop the connection, or to stop helping.
