How to pronounce Bode?

Bode is not pronounced Bo-dee as this page says it is. That would be illiterate as the e is never pronounced after a d when it's at the end of a word. For example, mode, code, explode... they're not mo-dee, co-dee, ex-plo-dee. Bode doesn't rhyme with Jodie or Cody. Bode rhymes with mode and code.
